UNCW’s Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and the College of Science and Engineering invite you to our annual event sponsored by the Yousry and Linda '78, '85M Sayed Lecture Series endowment. Come and see student-led, groundbreaking research in the department and join us for the keynote address by Professor Jeff Aubé, PhD.

This signature event will celebrate student research, including graduate work in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and highlight research success from students and faculty across the department at all levels. During the networking reception, guests will enjoy appetizers and refreshments, and have the opportunity to connect with students, faculty, and fellow guests while learning more about the department's activities.
 
Keynote Speaker — Professor Jeff Aubé, PhD
Jeff Aubé is an Eshelman Distinguished Professor at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. His research spans organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, and drug discovery, with particular emphasis on the chemistry of heterocyclic compounds and their applications to problems in human health — from opioid pharmacology to anti-infective and anticancer agents. He has held faculty positions at the University of Kansas and UNC, and his work has been recognized with honors, including the Edward Leete Award and the Arthur C. Cope Scholar Award, as well as fellowships in both the American Chemical Society and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
